21 Tara
Buddha has taught us 21 techniques to attain enlightenment. The Mahayana Sutra system outlines a journey through ten levels known as the Bhumis, guiding practitioners toward enlightenment by emphasising the present moment and the potential of the human body. Vajrayana, or Tantra, shares similarities but focuses on specific techniques to release 21 pairs of knots in the body that block energy channels, providing insights along the path to enlightenment. The 21 Taras represent the 21 different virtues necessary to attain Buddha hood, with each Tara depicted and manifested in primary colours: green, white, yellow, black, and blue. Each of the 21 manifestations of Tara embodies a unique virtue essential for spiritual growth.

The Natural Pigment Painting measures 30 inches X 21 inches with an additional silk Thangka bordering it.
